OUR CONSTITUTION

ARTICLE 2

AIM OF THE ASSOCIATION:

To develop a strong affiliation of all alumni of MHSOWOSA in the Diaspora currently in the US and Canada and Europe.                       

MISSION:

  1. To work together to improve the educational and infrastructural facilities of our Alma Mater – MHSOWOSA and to bring back the glory that the school once enjoyed. As well as impacting the lives of old, current Students and Staffs of the School as positively as we are able to.
  2. To strengthen true fellowship among all our school colleagues in the USA and Canada (incorporating Europe for now).
  3. To bring our members together to raise funds toward the necessary educational and infrastructural improvements in the school.

ARTICLE 1

The name of the association shall be MHSOWOSA USA, CANADA & EUROPE.              

The method of communication shall be through Whatsapp, Conference Calls, Meetings and through our Website.

ARTICLE 4

DUTIES OF THE OFFICERS.

(Forum platform refers.)     

  1. Meetings shall be bi-monthly through our Conference Call forum.
  2. An emergency meeting shall be called if needed by the General Secretary after due consultation with the President.
  3. Executive council shall comprise of all elected officers.
  4. Meetings of the EXCO shall be called by the President.
  5. The EXCO shall form committees to oversee anything that needs to be looked into as the need arises.
  6. All members of the association are eligible to contest for any position with the following conditions met:

a . Must be in financial good standing in the association.            

  1. Must be willing to show that he or she is interested in the position.

DISCIPLINE :                         

Any form of discipline must be carried out through the EXCO and whatever action taken shall be final.

AMENDMENTS:

Any amendment to the Constitution shall be carried out only through the Exco and ratified in a General Meeting.

ARTICLE 3

MEMBERSHIP:

This shall be anyone who enrolled at the school at one time or another. Non-graduation from MHSO eventually, shall not be a preclusion from membership.

OFFICERS:

  1. Officers of the association shall be by elections at the General Meeting of the association.
  2. Tenure shall be for TWO YEARS and post holders shall be eligible for re-election, if so wished but not to exceed two consecutive terms.
